NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA 1920 The world is populated with over 1,860,000,000 people. of those people, is a variety of races... and species. humans, vampyres and dhampyres alike to which walk the earth, are focused here in New Orleans.
There are tales throughout history of the beasts to which lurk in the night, but none the same as that of the vampyre. many believe that the first vampyre to exist is that of Vlad Dracul III the Impaler (the inspiration for the famous novel Dracula), who reigned as Prince of Wallachia from 1456 to 1462. However, this is only legend and the first vampyre to be accounted for is known as Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed. The blood countess lured, and supposedly abducted, girls and young women of peasants and the lesser gentry into her castle to torture and kill. she bathed in their blood, even consumed it, to retain her youth and beauty. She was put to trial and sentenced to house arrest within a bricked up set of rooms within her own castle. There she succumbed into a coma-like sleep from her lack of blood, as all vampires do when starved, and there she is said to still be.
Her son, Miklós, was later to take on the surname of Dracula and begin his own reign as the self-proclaimed king of vampyres, strengthening his rule with every passing century. And with that strength came more light to the creatures that went bump in the night.
