Physical Description: Glimmer is 5' 7", with emerald green eyes and flowing blond hair that is often found hanging loose in waves. She refuses to go short; as a girl whose District looks up heavily to The Capitol, she feels that looks are the most important thing a person can have. She thinks her best facial feature is her lips, and accentuates them with a shiny gloss wherever she goes. Her eyes come a close second. She likes pairing her natural shade with light violet eyelashes.. She is extremely beautiful and most people would describe her as sexy.
The word 'casual' is not in Glimmer's dictionary. She dresses to impress every minute of the day. Her 'rolled out of bed with wavy hair' look took her years to perfect. Her nails are always perfectly polished and manicured.
Underneath all the expense and glamor, however, Glimmer has countless scars that are still in healing due to the training she is going through for her years' Hunger Games. Her bathroom is filled with medicinal ointments, foams, creams and liquids to help soothe her injuries and keep her looking polished, even if she may not feel so on the inside. The medicine she keeps in her bathroom are worth more than her house and all the items in it. It is the price she has to pay for being a chosen one.
Personality: On the outside, Glimmer is the smiling face of beauty that her Mentor continuously coaches her to be. There isn't usually a moment in public where she isn't smiling, brushing her hair, or applying another coat of lip gloss. In her District's mind, she is supposed to be the envy of all the other girls in District 1. They groomed her to be that way. Being the oldest female in the Career Academy, Glimmer is seen as somewhat of a role model for the other young girls who are growing up to be just like her. Deadly, but beautiful. Most citizens that don't really know her would describe her as energetic, social and extraordinarily sexual. She knows exactly how she looks and knows how to get what she wants, if not by any other means than with her looks, personality and body. Her promiscuity is often hidden away by those in her District, half because they are ashamed and half because they adore it. Glimmer's personality isn't very defined. She can be whoever you want her to be. She was raised to be mysterious and sexual, and to fulfill everyone's desires but her own.
Internal Conflicts: Despite her status and upbringing, she tends to prefer to spend time by herself. In fact, her personality is quite the opposite of her appearance. She spends time conflicted, wondering why she can't be the happy-go-lucky woman that sees when she looks in the mirror. She feels angry all the time and wonders if it's because she was brought up in training or because she is unhappy with the lifestyle her father has chosen for her.
As the Games grow closer and closer, she is beginning to question the one thing that has been drilled into her mind since the day she was born: that she must volunteer for the Reaping.

History: Glimmer was born to one of the richest families in District 1. Her father, Sterling Rosek, had a twin brother who volunteered himself into the 50th Games Quarter Quell along with Victor Haymitch Abernathy from District 12. Despite being a Career, he was one of the first to fall. Since his brothers death, he hoped that he could find a wife to grow old with without having the burden of raising a child that could be reaped or would be chosen for the Career Academy. In his mid-twenties, he met and eventually married a young woman named Glitter. Soon after, much to Sterling's dismay, she became pregnant with a baby girl. Though he was a little unsure about his feelings, there was no denying that he was overjoyed at the prospect of spending the rest of his life with his wife and daughter by his side. It wasn't meant to be however, and moments after childbirth, Glitter passed away from an unforeseen complication. Sterling refused to look at his newborn daughter or even give her a name so the hospital staff took it amongst themselves to name her Glimmer, after her now deceased mother. A few days later before Sterling took her home, he went straight to the Career Academy and volunteered his daughter to be their Tribute in eighteen years' time as punishment for killing his wife.
Since the tender age of four, she has been training to be a ruthless hunter. Her skill was chosen for her and as a result of constant training, she is a skilled warrior with the offensive weapons called the 'sai'.
Growing up, she was groomed to always obey her fathers wishes, though most of the time he only ever wanted her to leave him alone. Because of the segregation from her father, she turned to her Mentors to be second parents. She dressed, acted, and responded in the fashion that they directed her to, which made training her very easy. She trains primarily with Leon Thatcher, a Victor from District 1. Her personal stylists on the other hand, taught Glimmer how to look the part; always groomed and prepared. They were the ones who taught her how to behave in public; as if there was always a camera following her.
After a long training session with her Leon that occurred on her eighteenth birthday, Glimmer looked back on what she could remember of her life. She could not think of once when anyone around her mentioned any plans of what she would be doing after the Games. For the last year, she's been training with a heavy heart, finally realizing what exactly being a Tribute means; a swift but painful death.

Glimmer walked quietly to the Trident Station, taking deep breaths in and out as she rubbed her knuckles. They were sore, red and bruised from the Hand to Hand Combat station and they were starting to hurt like hell. But the day wasn't even close to being over. She was determined to keep training and use the day to its fullest capacity. She looked around the Training Floor, noticing the other trainees busying themselves at their chosen station. She scanned them, looking for one that was empty. She preferred to keep her training in solitary. Quiet with no distractions. To her left, she saw one of the newer stations the District had only just installed; the Trident Station had been untouched. She'd never used a trident before. Raising an eyebrow, Glimmer approached the station with curiosity. Judging from the shape of the trident alone, she knew that the head of the spear-like weapon would be much, much heavier. She probably shouldn't be twirling it around like her sais as much as she would have liked. It wasn't a defensive weapon at all. Glimmer pursed her lips as she approached, zipping through all the information she knew. It would be heavy. But if she learned how to use it and did it well, she could be lethal.
